Giant Awakenings describes a metaphorical travel through the world of theatre. Inspired by a drama therapy workshop I shaped a collage of 4 different photographs into an haptic and contour drawing. The two giant subjects developed a higher consciousness of themselves because of their exchange during this experience. They also discovered personal and universal meanings. This is why colour of the inner space of the smaller figure (symbol of the deeper self of each giant) is the same colour of the outer space.
THE PAPER
The paper gives muted blacks with even colour reproduction, and excellent detail. The surface has minimal texture with a chalky smooth cotton feel which creates smooth colour gradients. It has a delicate surface, so we recommend extra care when handling.
